General
Is account registration required?
No. BoxPath does not require you to create an account or profile of any kind. Simply install the app and start tracking shipments right away.
How is my data saved?
All your tracking data — titles, notes, folders, status history — is saved locally on your device using Core Data. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Your data stays on your device and is not accessible to us.
Is BoxPath free to use?
Yes, BoxPath is free to download and use. The free version allows you to track one active shipment at a time. Once a shipment is delivered or deleted, you can add another. To track unlimited shipments simultaneously, upgrade to BoxPath Unlimited via the in-app purchase.
Which carriers are supported?
BoxPath currently supports the following carriers:
UPS
FedEx
USPS
DHL
Amazon Logistics
Additional carrier support may be added in future updates.
Does BoxPath contain ads?
No. BoxPath contains absolutely no advertising of any kind. There are no banner ads, interstitials, or third-party ad networks in the app.
Tracking
How do I add a tracking number?
There are three ways to add a tracking number:
Scan a barcode — tap the scanner button in the top-right corner, select your carrier, then point your camera at the shipping label barcode.
Manual entry — go to Settings → Add Manually, select a carrier, type or paste your tracking number, then tap Save.
Clipboard shortcut — if BoxPath detects a valid tracking number on your clipboard when you open or switch to the app, a banner will appear at the top offering to add it instantly.
How often is tracking status updated?
BoxPath refreshes status for all active (non-delivered) shipments each time you open the app. It also uses iOS Background App Refresh to check for updates approximately every 15 minutes while the app is not in the foreground, so your list stays current without needing to manually open the app.
Can I add a title or notes to a shipment?
Yes. When adding a shipment you can provide an optional title (e.g. "Birthday gift", "Work laptop"). You can also add free-text notes, assign a folder, pin the shipment to the top of your list, and set an auto-delete timer. All of these can be edited later from the Detail view.
What do the coloured status lights mean?
Each shipment in your list shows a coloured indicator on the right side that reflects its current status:
Green — Delivered
Blue — Out for delivery / Available for pickup
Yellow — In transit
Red — Label created / Pre-transit
Gray — Exception, failed, or not found
Can I organise shipments into folders?
Yes. You can assign any shipment to a custom folder (e.g. "Orders", "Returns", "Work") when adding it or from the Detail view. Switch the sort mode to Folder using the sort button in the toolbar to group your list by folder.
BoxPath Unlimited
What does BoxPath Unlimited include?
BoxPath Unlimited is a one-time purchase that unlocks:
Unlimited concurrent trackings — track as many shipments as you want at the same time.
CSV Import — bulk-import shipments from a BoxPath CSV export file.
Recently Deleted — deleted shipments are soft-archived and recoverable for a configurable period.
Batch scanning — scan and queue multiple barcodes in a single session.
Is BoxPath Unlimited a subscription?
No. BoxPath Unlimited is a one-time, non-expiring purchase. There are no recurring charges, no auto-renewal, and no hidden fees. Pay once and it's yours permanently on all devices sharing your Apple ID. Subscription options are planned for a future version.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open BoxPath, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used when you originally purchased. The restore is free and instant. If it doesn't work, contact us at customerservice@appsentmind.com.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a refund request. If you're experiencing a technical issue, please contact us first — we'll do our best to resolve it before you need to pursue a refund.
Import & Export
How do I export my trackings?
Go to Settings → Export. BoxPath will generate a CSV file containing your tracking numbers, titles, carriers, notes, and folders. You can share this file via AirDrop, email, Files, or any other share destination on your device.
How do I import trackings from a CSV?
CSV import is available with BoxPath Unlimited. Go to Settings → Import, select the BoxPath preset, choose your exported CSV file, then tap Fetch & Import. BoxPath will fetch live tracking data for each shipment and ask you to confirm before saving.
What format does the CSV need to be in?
BoxPath supports two import modes:
BoxPath CSV — use the BoxPath preset for files exported directly from BoxPath. The expected columns are: BoxPath, Title, Tracking, Notes, Folder.
Carrier CSV — use Custom Mapping for CSV files exported from any major carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) or order management system. BoxPath lets you map which column contains the tracking number and optionally which contains the title — so column naming doesn't matter.
Since carriers are inconsistent with how they name columns, the custom mapping screen shows you all available columns and you simply tap to assign them. You can save the mapping as a preset for faster import next time.
