BoxPath — Privacy Policy

BoxPath is a shipment tracking app built to keep your deliveries organised in one place. This app does not include ads and does not connect directly with other users. It communicates with the WhereParcel tracking API and Firebase only to fetch shipment status and deliver notifications. No personal data is ever collected or requested. The table below outlines exactly what permissions and features the app uses and why.

Network Connection YES

Required to fetch live shipment tracking data from the WhereParcel API and to communicate with Firebase for push notification delivery.

Camera Access YES

Permission requested only when you choose to scan a shipping barcode to add a tracking number. The camera is never accessed in the background.

Push Notifications YES

Optional permission to notify you when a shipment status changes. Notifications are sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging. No personal data is transmitted.

Coming in a future release

Background Refresh YES

BoxPath uses iOS Background App Refresh to periodically check your active shipments so your list stays current without you needing to open the app.

In-App Purchase YES

A one-time purchase unlocks BoxPath Unlimited — unlimited concurrent shipments, CSV bulk import, and more. Processed securely through Apple's App Store.

Clipboard Access YES

When the app is opened or brought to the foreground, it checks the clipboard for a tracking number to offer a quick-add shortcut. The clipboard is immediately cleared after use.

Feedback YES

The settings page provides a direct link to the BoxPath support team via email.

Advertising NO

BoxPath contains no advertising of any kind and does not use any ad networks or tracking SDKs.

No account creation or login is required or available. All data is stored locally on your device.

Location Access NO

BoxPath does not request or use your device location at any time.

Social Interaction NO

No user-to-user communication features exist in BoxPath.

Data Collection NO

No personal data is collected, stored on external servers, or sold to third parties. Tracking numbers are sent to WhereParcel solely to retrieve shipment status.
